It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon on May 17 in Buffalo New York. The shoppers from the surrounding neighborhood headed out to feed their family from the Tops Supermarket.

A stranger from hours away travels into town that day, filled with hate.

The events that followed forever changed this small Buffalo town, shattering the lives of ten families for no reason other than a
sense of anger and rage in an individual’s heart for the Black Community.
The City of Buffalo has received National Recognition due to the community’s response to this tragedy.

The community came together, united, to fight for their people under a single cause, to choose love. News of the tragedy spread across the country as the story picked up national news and communities from all across the country stepped up to make an impact and do what they could to support the Buffalo community. While the response from the country was unheard of, the direct response from the people of Western, NY showed just how strong of a community Buffalo is.

People from all walks of life went out of their way to support those affected by the events that occurred on that scary Saturday. Now, with the country facing more unsettling times, the love and unity witnessed in Buffalo is the platform needed to bring people together and work towards a better future.

While Buffalo is not the only community facing adversity, the community’s response following the events in Buffalo provides an example for spreading love on a united front.

An opportunity has developed that can unite the people of Western NY together that has the potential to inspire other cities to join the movement and spread the idea of LOVEAID across the country.

The goal of the LOVEAID concert series is to spread the love witnessed following the tragedy in Buffalo, NY across the country.

The event can be tailored to local communities by benefiting local organizations who are working to bring unite people together under a single positive message of LOVE during times of hardship.
